For those who are not aware, Billy Paul Branham recently passed away at 3:33 am, on October 19, 2023, according to his younger brother Joseph Branham as posted here. We extend our condolences to the family and wish them comfort and peace.
Given his death, we wanted to explore Billy Paul Branham’s interactions and impact on Golden Dawn Tabernacle / Tabernaculo Emanuel. He last visited GDT in the 1990s when he was invited to give his testimony to the congregation by Pastor Isaac Noriega. We remember the testimony filled with moments of humor, sadness, humanity, spirituality, and inspiration. Billy Paul was a gifted speaker and was able to stir the audience with his experience growing up under the wing of his father William Branham.
At the end of Billy Paul’s moving testimony, he invited his sister Rebekah to play the piano to close the service. He led an altar call, and the congregation largely responded and he prayed over many of the congregants.
We also remember several local ministers and other local churches attending, including the late Pastor Pearry Green and some of the congregants from Tucson Tabernacle in attendance. George Smith and Rebekah (Branham) Smith were also in attendance.
In a subsequent service after the visitors had left, Pastor Isaac Noriega angrily rebuked the local congregation for responding so strongly to Billy Paul’s altar call. He appeared to be upset that the people were so moved by the testimony of William Branham’s son, and possibly even jealous that they wanted to be prayed over and touched by the hands of Billy Paul.
Around that same timeframe, the GDT congregation was invited to tour William Branham’s home and den in Tucson, AZ led by George Smith. It was a time filled with new experiences for the church, where they were able to interact with William Branham’s family and learn more about his personal life. The latest GDT generation has not been allowed the same opportunity as the previous generation.
Long-time current and former members will recall when Billy Paul visited Tabernaculo Emanuel in the 1980s as well, when George Smith and Rebekah (Branham) Smith attended the church regularly as well as when one of George and Rebekah’s daughters was baptized in the church.
That close relationship with Golden Dawn Tabernacle / Tabernaculo Emanuel grew apart over the years, after the Israel tour that George Smith led for the GDT congregation on June 2-12, 1997. Again, the latest GDT generation has not been allowed the same opportunity as the previous generation.
This deterioration of relationships has occurred with the vast majority of ministers who have associated with Pastor Isaac Noriega over the years. These rifts and self-imposed isolation have had significant consequences on the Golden Dawn Tabernacle / Tabernaculo Emanuel congregation. It has forced a restricted gene pool in the church, which in the long term will ensure the church dies away, slowly. It also ensures loneliness, delusion, and perceived superiority within the congregation to the point of moral and spiritual decay. This will likely only be realized and attempted to be corrected once it is too late.

The issue of jealousy on the part of leadership in almost all groups is a real problem and very toxic. More so if the leadership believes itself to be the owner of the truth, of your life and your salvation. It is empowered. If jealousy problems arise in the family, in a marriage, it is very difficult to deal with this problem if what is happening is not correctly identified, and generally, not always, it is a problem of insecurities on the part of the jealous person. And from experience, in different churches and groups, this topic is not talked about, almost everyone knows that the leadership is speaking and reacting out of jealousy and no one dares to tell them, because they have to face a “monster.” I am also jealous, almost all of us are also jealous given the situation, but we also take into account our limits, love, freedom and rights of the other person. In short, we all have the capacity to be jealous but not all of us exercise jealousy. It is a problem of lack of maturity, in its broad spectrum, it is not useful to subject those you love from jealousy, and it is not useful to submit to the unhealthy jealousy of the other, it becomes a toxic relationship. And in our churches and groups, jealousy is justified with Bible verses, with anything else, but the topic is not directly talked about or treated as “jealousy.” I have seen pastors and leaders suffer from jealousy, they needed to somehow get rid of what was bothering and tormenting them. Surely many doctrines, rules, commandments and impositions that our leaders place on us in the name of God and the Bible were born from the jealousy and insecurities of leadership. They need to control and see visually that they have control because they do not want to feel, they do not want to suffer from feeling jealousy or insecurities. Jealousy brings a lot of suffering in the relationship. It is a serious issue that must be addressed, many go so far as to kill out of jealousy. It is a great shame to allow or not treat pathological jealousy in a relationship, many good things are lost, love and respect are lost.
Isaac despises any ministry or minister he saw us sheep take a liking to. He initially minimized them..then later rebuked them over a couple yrs. Narcissist don’t like their victims to see be around genuine and caring people. This causes them to lose their power over us.
Isaac will make you feel superior spiritually over these nice people.
Make them out to be less than us because to see real Christians who are allowed to travel, miss a service for a family function, a school of their choosing and college..the list goes on. Isaac has to do that before we realize we saved by Grace not works

So William Branham predicted that California would be in the ocean before Billy Paul was an old man. He clearly was an old man and now he is dead. Yet California is still here. Geez I wonder how many other “Prophecies” he got wrong🧐. And a prophet is only a prophet if he prophecies, and they come true.🤔 None of his came true by the way. So Golden Dawn and Isaac Noriega are following a false prophet🤡. Anyways….. I remember as a kid, Isaac once told the congregation that when California sinks, that it would cause such great waves that Tucson is going to sink too. Just another one of his scare tactics.
I use to have hope for the people in Golden Dawn. That one day they would see the light and come out of that dark place. I talked to a couple people and told them Branham was wrong because California is still hear and now Billy Paul is dead. But they just want to continue to hold on to false teachings, probably because that’s all they know. I see know there is no hope for them to leave that prison they are in. They are too brainwashed to see the real truth.
I remember Rey telling us in Sunday school that before the first bombs of WW3 were sent out that we would be raptured. Yet here we are in the beginning of WW3 and Isaac and Rey and everyone else is still here.
Just like the church in Waco, and the Jim Jones church Golden Dawn and William Branham is nothing but a doomsday cult. They said the world was going to end in 1977, it didn’t. Then the millennium the year 2000 and it didn’t. Then they said if Obama becomes president the rapture will come and it didn’t. They keep pushing it back every time to keep the people on the hook.
some points have been brought up lately about the Branham boys not getting along with Isaac. Question: Who really gets along with Isaac? The only “brothers” who get along with him do it for status. No adult males outside of GD can stand him. Name 3 adult males outside of GD who are friends with Isaac..I’ll wait
Ive talked to a couple GD people recently who have nothing good to say about BP mainly his love of money issues. Well I ask them.. ” but how do you allow yourselves to stay in GD and be controlled or hide everything you do?”
